Here he saw his opening to get involved in the janitorial business-one that had a special appeal to his entrepreneurial spirit. Working then as he does now, Tony would spend a few hours each week laboring alongside a staff that three months later would be on his payroll. One can say from that point on, PMM was on its way to its successful climb.
Because of his association with restaurants, PMM was cleaning a dozen or more restaurant facilities on a full time basis. Soon thereafter PMM would be hired to provide janitorial services to St. Tammany Hospital’s eight outpatient facilities, an opening that took the company in a new direction, and whose association continues today. Other medical work would follow, including dental offices, and then schools, government contracts, hair salons, office buildings, auto dealerships and other diversified businesses.
Aside from its basic janitorial services, PMM would add a host of other features that, bundled together, would bring to its clients a total package of professional cleaning expertise and supervision at a price to meet its customers’ bottom line. Quality products that he purchased through his distributor, A&L, would likewise be offered to his clients, and at savings appreciated by all.
